Hoosier Action Resource Center
Working together for everyday Hoosiers
Since 2017, Hoosier Action Resource Center has been a reliable resource for Hoosiers who want to grow as citizens. From programs educating people about how their local and state governments work, to emergency food drives and service days, to “get out the vote” initiatives, HARC works every day to plug people in to the processes and decisions that impact their lives directly.
We believe by acting together we can make certain everyday Hoosiers—across race, class, background, and geography—are at the center of the decisions that shape our lives. We love our home and we are committed to equipping its people to shape the Indiana we all deserve.
Connecting neighbors across Indiana
Hoosiers care deeply about their communities. We work to build civic infrastructure by creating spaces where people can learn together and reflect on shared experiences - transforming frustration and isolation into collective capacity and trust. We bring people together across lines of race, class, geography, faith, and partisan identity. We’re building social spaces and leadership pipelines in small-town and rural communities to develop cross-class relationships and new community leaders.
Raising Hoosier voices
Across Indiana, we’re connecting Hoosiers with the institutions that represent them. We’re harnessing frustration with cultural and partisan divisions and turning it into community ability to act collectively to solve problems. HARC works as a civic anchor where Hoosiers from across the political spectrum can come together, rebuild trust, and develop new pathways for collective action outside the national partisan fray. Together we’re educating and acting on proposed data centers, opening cooling centers for the vulnerable, and bridging gaps when benefits for food become scarce. We’re activating communities to address community issues.
